Lunch N Learn - How to Write a Press Release

"How to Write a Press Release"

Small-business owners are invited to learn one time-honored method for communicating with the staff of media-outlets at an upcoming workshop in the West Valley. "How to Write a Press Release" is the subject of our no-cost workshop at the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The one-hour workshop is open to the public and begins promptly at noon on Monday, March 18, 2019. The Chamber office is at 289 N. Litchfield Road in Goodyear, Arizona.

Participants will leave this workshop with the skills needed to create a basic media release that respects the needs of both the business and the hard-working people in the media. "Every business needs to communicate better. Mastering the succinct and audience-focused media release is needed skill for any entrepreneur," says Sean Buvala, the workshop presenter. "In the short workshop, I'll teach the basics of the media release and what I have learned over the last 32 years of marketing my own business."

About Sean Buvala:
Sean is a west-valley resident and has been writing press-releases for decades. He's a professional speaking coach and an award-winning storyteller who travels nationally working with business and education clients.

Caring for your parents, Education for the Family Caregiver

Prevent Senior Hospitalizations: Caring for your parents: Education for the Family Caregiver

Whether an older adult is going into the hospital for the first time or is facing re-admission, a hospital stay can be bad news.

Medical experts agree that seniors who go into the hospital often don’t go home the same, or they don’t go home at all. Many factors can keep older adults from staying healthy during peak flu season or at times of the year when they are simply not taking good care of themselves.

This workshop will help you:

• Discover steps for a successful transition to home
• Learn the risk factors for hospitalization
• Understand the five important ways to keep seniors out of the hospital
• Share resources that can help keep seniors safe and healthy at home
